a trip to the market

Waaay too long between posts, but here is a recent trip I took to the Auburn Rd Farmers’ Market with mother dearest. Love the vibrancy of the fruit and veggies… so fresh and full of life.

glamping goodness.

this year i joined the Bennett clan for their annual glamping adventure to the picturesque Wilsons Prom (some 3 hrs from melbourne), great opportunity for a bit of rest & relaxation and get away from the bustle of city life.

culinary treats were just that; we’re talking bradwhurst sausages…salmon steaks and bon soy porridge… deeelish. i so love going away with this family!

lets be honest, the views from mt Oberon weren’t too shabby either…

happy tuesday x

birthday celebrations.

SO i had an incredible birthday, which is unusual for the the “nothing birthday” that is turning 22 – but the buzz still hasn’t worn off from the weekend!

I spent my morning trawling through the Makers Markets with Mum, held every 3rd Sunday inside the corridors of the Abbotsford Convent. A warm escape from from the windy weather and relentless rain outside. Found an incredible jewellery-maker in the space called “Mitta” who had the most divine dipped ceramic necklaces….

For lunch we met up with the boys at Pacific House, Victoria St Richmond, we randomly bumped into Asian celeb Chef Elizabeth Chong and my father felt the need to approach the woman (he did her cooking course back in the 80s and compliment her on his skills) she was picking up a delicious duck, we had ours with pancakes and plum sauce = delish.

My two best friends surprised me with a very appropriate St. Patty’s day inspired cupcake and the rest of the evening was spent at Rice Queen at Brunswick st, Brunswick. We finally moved on to Naked in the Sky… where I spent my last $15 on an absinth concoction…

All in all an awesome night thanks to my amazing friends and family love you guys!
